The "show" you refer to will continue to escalate I'm sure. Humans are very much pain avoiding and pleasure seeking. We're being socially "herded" (for lack of a better term) or "groomed" toward a prison much like the one . The prison is not really a physical one, but a socio-political prison.
The longer clown world is allowed to fester, the more distasteful the pill that cures it will be, that is for sure.
Be careful about interpretations of this movie. There is hidden meaning in many things, and in this movie it tells an appealing story to the socialist dissidents as much as the conservative ones. A common trap of the Hegelian dialectic is one is lead to believe they must choose a thesis, antithesis or compromise on some synthesis. Usually, though, the story teller has concocted all three arrival points and the true right solution lies elsewhere outside of the purview of the provided hypotheses (plural) altogether. This is why I totally recommend to not even pirate any of the junk pumped out in follywood, or netflax. Not even for free should you subject yourself to this mysticism. But, I'm not here to lecture ... just something I learned recently about how the spell they're casting works.

Be sure to check in regularly. It will keep you sane and grounded. Calibration is a good thing. I am also in the survival mode phase. The situation is already among us, but most are just asleep to it. It's literally like the matrix. In the open, if you are careful, you can find others who are awake too, but you won't find them out in the woods. Be ready for any event, but right now this is a metaphysical war.

Well, there is the collapse of the tribe, and of the individual. To both ends, consider that the book of Revelations is really about the awareness of this fact (and not referring to an event). The Apocalypse (means unveiling) is about your perception of the moral decay around you when you get red-pilled. The collapse is inevitable, as without stress the mind, body and psyche remains "unhardened." One can seize the situation by becoming the unwavering stress to others around them. This, in a way, is the white knight.
If enough white knights are available and strong, if an opportunity comes it's possible one of them can kick the can down the road a little further.

Well, not so much control freak of everything, just the levers that seem to matter. I have completely dropped all expectations from those around me and see them as sheep unless proven otherwise. So I try to feed statements like dopamine.
Where I have become controlling are in all of my responses and what I allow into my psyche. Most accept the "next video" while I've started creating all my own playlists and critically look to reject everything I come across that I can through validation. I also now look at things in a bayesian perspective. By this, I mean that everything has probabilities.
I can be a bit exhausting, but it gets easier once you don't try and control things you can't ... like other people's salvation.
Do you spend 100M$ on the military? Do you spend 100M$ on education? Maybe you can settle on a middle ground of 50M$ for each? Then people miss that another option is not taking out a 100M$ loan.

This is why duress/urgency is an important ingredient. It's literally like herding prey into a trap. You get chased by urency, one wall is the thesis, the other wall is the anti-thesis and the synthesis is right down the middle into the pre-prepared option.
