Styx seems kind of naive here, but I don't think he's completely wrong. Like he says, the benefits of the flu vaccine are dubious and may not out-way the cost and the risk. Why he thinks this is the only vaccine not worth taking I couldn't tell you. If you look back at what was going on during the Bush jr. administration, a lot of soldiers were getting very sick after getting their mandatory vaccination shots. There was enough of a public outcry from military families that an inspection of the production facilities was ordered. The inspection found the facilities to be unfit for service; but because of the government contracts and laws there was no accountability and the production of the vaccines was not even allowed to be contracted to a more responsible company. The soldiers weren't allowed to sue or to refuse the tainted vaccines, and when there's no accountability, the people responsible for the health and safety of our soldiers just don't give a fuck. I doubt they'd be any more concerned about the welfare of civilians. Is there a massive conspiracy to sterilize, depopulate, or mind-control our population? I don't know, but that looks like a straw-man that was set up to smear anyone who questions the safety and efficacy of the monopolized government protected vaccine industry. So if you ask "Do we really need all these vaccines? are they safe? are they even effective?" You're an antivaxxer, and you can be instantly dismissed. Of course vaccines work, we don't need to discuss whether or not they're being used responsibly.
