I feel kinda funny. I guess you could say I’m a little nervous, but I’m also super extra excited. I mean, I’ve been on TV and in parades and stuff before so it’s kinda the same. Mommy and Daddy tell me I’m very pretty and that everyone loves me when I do my thing. I love dancing and showing off my moves because then people always clap and tell me I’m cool and brave. I guess I don’t really know what brave means, but I think it’s because other people would like to do the same thing but they get too scared. But whatever, I just like to dance and wear girly clothes and put on makeup so I guess it’s easy for me. And everyone always smiles and is really happy when I do it which makes me even happier and more excited to do it too.

When I was little my mommy would tell me I could be whatever I wanted. I remember one day I saw a very pretty girl on the TV and told mommy I thought she was pretty. Mommy said I could be pretty like that too one day if I wanted, and I thought that would be awesome. After that I remember mommy would let me put on dresses and makeup whenever I wanted and always helped me pick out the cutest outfits. She even told me I didn’t have to be pretty like everyone else was, but that I could be pretty in my own way. I was always so excited when we tried on new crazy clothes and different makeup. It was fun to see how different I look when I put on different stuff. Eventually my mommy told me we should go out to parades with other people that like to dress up like me. I remember the first time I went was the coolest time ever. All those people that liked to do what I do, and all the older people would come up to me and hug me and tell me how brave and amazing I am. So, that’s the story about why I do what I’m doing now. Super cool isn’t it?

My mommy and daddy always tell me that its okay for boys to like boys and girls to like girls, and its okay for a boy to want to be a girl and a girl want to be a boy. They also say it’s okay for grown ups to like kids like me. They tell me not to say that to anyone though as there are mean people out there who wouldn’t like me if I say that. But daddy always reassures me when we are snuggling that its okay for boys to love boys and grown ups to love kids. He always reminds me that daddy’s should love their children and that the child should love daddy back. Sometimes we do things that make me feel funny but daddy just says it’s called snuggling and that mommy and daddy do it all the time too. Sometimes it makes me feel funny but I do love my mommy and daddy so I want them to know that I love them.

I guess it’s time to walk out on stage. Phew, I’m a bit nervous but I know I can do it. I’m sure everyone will be cheering me on like they always do. Mommy said there is going to be a lot of people like me here to watch so they will all be happy to see me. I just need to dance and be myself like my mommy always tells me to.
