I use Ublock Origin. When a popup appears saying 'please turn off your blocker', I use the tool which is symbolized by a eye dropper to remove the popup. If the whole page goes all smoky, use the lightning bolt symbol. As far as I know, (which ain't much) Ublock Origin is the only blocker that offers these techniques!
Fyi, there are some sites like https://www.space.com that use specific scripting techniques that make it a bit tougher than just blocking the element. After blocking the related elements, adding the anti-adblocker scripts/filters, and removing any related overflow: hidden instances... the page still does not scroll. So I then attempted to block the script itself, and I was greeted with The only solution I found to get around these extra pesky anti-adblock scripts is by using (which i think exists for firefox as well). Hope this helps someone 'stick it to the man,' because he deserves it.

If nothing works I copy/paste title into a search engine and find it elsewhere, as MSM only have 1 script.
Another option is to paste the url into https://archive.fo/.
