Maybe knowing that sharks have EM receptors on their face to help them hunt prey, the manufacturer would have better shielded the cables to prevent confusing sharks.

Obviously... undersea spook drones keep cutting them... though in electromagnetic field tests by scientists sharks are astoundingly, beyond belief, attracted to small electronic devices, and electromagnetic fields.
