We had an intern out of Stanford for the summer, getting his masters in engineering. Nice kid, not a diversity hire. Didn’t understand how to operate a cordless drill, or drill and tap a hole through sheet metal. Blew my mind he had never in his life drilled a hole.
But he knew all about DEI, ESG, black history and the Hall of Cost, I bet.
