Serious Question: I know that when we have weather/storms on Earth, it rains downwards.

Does it also rain upwards into space?

Like, is that what they are talking about when they say 'space weather'?

Does lightning strike upwards too during a thunderstorm?

Yes, I think there are upward lightning strikes. Rain, not so much ... gravity and all.

What does the lightning strike up there?

Mostly nothing. Generally just weak bolts that on rare occasion do surge upward. It's nothing they obsess about. I probably should have gone into more detail ... space weather isn't weather as we normally think of it. It's more about Aurora conditions ... solar winds ... sunspots and the related electrical problems that might be encountered because of such. Sorry I didn't give more detail earlier.
