Rainbows are circular. You don't see the whole rainbow when you are at ground level. High altitude pilots can see the whole rainbow and even commercial pilots can sometimes see them whole when at high altitudes.
There are no "ends" of the rainbow.

Under the right conditions, the edges of a plane’s shadow has some funky rainbow look to it as well.
