No doubt Boomers were asleep at the switch (especially the dumb-ass hippies), but *their* parents, the generation before, were indoctrinated to believe fighting alongside the Communists was a good thing. They, and the Boomers, and the generations to follow wouldn't have been indoctrinated if we had gotten rid of the people doing the indoctrination.
