Actually, it's the deep state destroying our agriculture industry. Just manufacturing insects won't do much, people won't willingly eat that shit. But destroy our food system while building bug factories, perhaps there's a chance.

You can always pretend you'll never do it, in such circumstances you will, guaranteed, it's only a matter of time
In extreme situations when there's no food at all, people resort to cannibalism
Now of course you can always opt for the alternative, which is death by starvation, or suicide
