He's a go getter. I don't see why he had to pay someone overtime to just stack a bunch of shit and some in boxes on shelves. Just point out what you need and get a dolly and drag everything out you can get at working toward the back and put on the shelves each container as you bring it in so shit isn't cluttering your stocking and walk areas. I would have dragged a ton of shit out of that room and put some containers in the middle of the isle so customers would see the shit your trying to get rid of the most. I would hire 2 people for the sale. One to keep the shelves full and another one to run the register and watch for shop lifters. Hell if he puts a big enough sign up he might be able to empty 1/3 of that place in a day. Hell keep telling the ones leaving to tell their friends. Push selling multiple things. Like push the spinners and suggest buying a bunch for christmas and tell them the regular price of these things in another store which will get their attention and some people might buy a 1/2 dozen if you are convincing enough. I would love to have been put in charge of setting that up, that is the kind of fun I like unless the boss is just getting stuff like the clothing in the far back. For that I would get a large box and just transfer the clothing from the pallet to the box and take it out a box at a time and have a person emptying the box so you can get another one quickly till you know you have enough out for sale and enough extra in boxes near that computer so it'll be easy to restock the empty racks. Hell keep an extra rack in the back and just switch out empty ones or transfer clothing from the most empty to another rack, then you have the empty rack to fill quickly and have the clothing you can with hangers already on them so it's just placing them on the rack in like 3 minutes. Heck getting hangers on extra stuff will take an hour or so but the time saving during the sale so you are free to restock other stuff would make that a huge help since prepping time is not with customers so whatever is prepped is more time you can spend with customers for finding stuff and helping them load their car and I figure if they see you loading cars they might think of buying entire boxes of stuff since someone that is stronger can load it up for them, that is a big thing for older people nowadays and can lead to much higher amount of goods purchased.
