A question about buying land from another country:

So obviously it would increase our debt, so it would impact us but maybe the benefits out weigh the costs.

But Greenlanders would now be US citizens. They would in part hold some of the liability for themselves being bought? That kind of sucks.

Danes owe us money and lots of concessions could be made. The long term benefit could be priceless. They don't have to necessarily become us citizens. St Thomas and Guam are pretty good protectorate examples.

Louisiana purchase was pretty sweet, though this is a lot different in many ways.
