When I was a kid in the 80s my dad did roof work for some dude. He couldn't pay so my dad took a barter. I learned Russian as a kid because the guy was a Russian prof. So cool during the Cold war. He was an old dude and called me grand daughter. I wish I could remember all that he taught me in the year or so I was dropped off with him. I can still half sound stuff out in Russian and someday probably should try to pick it up again. My mom says I was talking to her, just blabbing away in the Russian I learned. I have a soft spot for it. And yes I know. Super Sus is Ukrainian. Just call me ignorant.
