In a major crisis I assume ferals would destroy pretty much every bridge if they could get away with it.
Even if common criminals didn't The Powers That Be would probably blow them up or the police would block them all because reasons the way they did road blocks in Hawaii.
So I looked to see if there's a such thing as an inflatable ferry and there is.
This reminded me of floating jeeps during WWII. They would drive a jeep onto a tarp then wrap it up around the sides. It would displace just enough water to float. PICS (ewillys.com)
The problem is it's inflatable. Which means it can easily be punctured, and sink. In a SHTF situation, everything you need to survive is in the vehicle.
IMO you would be better off jacking a real barge.

I thought maybe two trips. One in a kayak or something with the weapons and valuables.
Then a second in the barge with the emptied vehicle.
It would be best to do it in the dead of night with no flashlights or anything. Otherwise you risk getting mobbed by other people demanding to use it too or, God forbid, people taking shots at you.

If your vehicle is set up for partial submersion (snorkel, and breather tubes for engine breather, diffs, etc), then you might be able to create some inflatable pontoons that attach to the sides of the vehicle and using them as basically floaties for your car. Car would obviously need to be light enough that the displacement of the floatation devices exceeds the vehicle weight. Such a device could be inflated with an on-board air compressor and could potentially scale up or down (large rigid truck or ATV). Propulsion through the water could be by whatever means you have, anything from a paddle to a pto driven propeller with steering, or even pulling yourself across the river with a cable (would require someone on the other side, or a swim).
I imagine this has already been invented, or is totally infeasible, though.

There are large numbers of competent White men who spend their working lives maintaining and fixing stuff so that it just seems like everything keeps working. If you stop that, even for a short period, things will fall apart. Not instantly, but you'll notice it in 6 months to a couple of years. The rate of dilapidation will also increase over time, so it will start with a few things breaking, but will accelerate.
Having too many niggers will also cause things to collapse, as niggers fuck things up through stupidity and niggery (see basically all of Africa).
