Wheel spacers with longer studs sheered off. Prob Chinese made and installed by low IQ types.

Also this is why you never use anti-seize on your studs, the lower friction significantly increases clamping forces and the tensile lengthening will cause a situation like this.

did you see spacers? Mostly its idiots buying the wrong offset wheel.

Wheel runs up after and gives the car a second kick in the ass.

I saw that, like kicking them when they're down.

[–] 3 pts

Well, the tire is black...

[–] 1 pt

Kicked them when they were down. The tire is black after all.

Thanks. Poor woman. 🙄 The truck owner has to be mighty worried if he did some unsafe diy mods.

Damn that was a good 5-6 feet launch.

I was just driving on the western side of Arizona on I-40 and literally it's like a bombing run going for about 150 miles. There's potholes everywhere and uneven road and the speed limit is 75 and people are going about 85. In the 3 hours I drove that road there was about 40 broken down cars with bashed out tires and blown up wheels. I was going 60 the entire way and having a difficult time. People are fucking idiots and driving to the conditions of the road is like someone staring at calculus for the first time for some of these clowns. I get it long haul driving is lame but what's even lamer is blowing up your car because you have your head stuck up your ass.

We get people from all over to pick up mining equipment, when asked how the drive was they all say, fine until we got to Arizona.

Arizona is just a train wreck I've been learning. I've spent a lot of time here but usually out in the wilderness. When I got to go into town to supply up or whatever that my town run requires I can't wait to get the fuck out and back to the woods.

Demographics have changed across the state. She ain’t what she used to be that’s for sure. Arizona outback is the place to be. Wildflowers this year are incredible.

The problem with Stanced vehicles. Moronic.

I perform all the maintenance on my vehicle. I've used a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturers specs of exactly 89 ft*lbs and no tighter.

Recently, I inspected the brake lines for both drivers side tires, I put tires back on and 2 days later I found out that my car would shake violently only while making right hand turns. Left hand turns had no effect. I checked the lug nuts on the front driver's side tire and found 4/5 lug nuts were loose. I tightened all the lug nuts and the violent shaking went away immediately.

Lesson learned; when it comes to lug nuts, I'm not going to waste my time with a torque wrench.

[–] 1 pt

I hear ya. I tighten them with a torque then drive for a bit check again and go over them with a hand wrench. Almost every time a few are not tight enough. I think it's partly my torque because when I have brought it to my dealership to have new tires installed they're never loose. I check them with a hand wrench as well. It could be the type of wheels as well. It's no wonder the tire shops tell us to bring them back to be checked, but how many even bother?

You have to clean the rust/dirt off of the mating surfaces.

[–] 1 pt

Rust/dirt have to be cleaned off of the wheel and the brake rotors/drum where they meet. Antiseize can be added where they meet.

If it's dirty/rusty and the dirt or rust falls out it will become loose.

[–] 1 pt

Ok, thanks for letting me know. All 4 rotors are rusty, so that likely explains it.

That fucking air holy shit lol

And to add insult to injury.

The tire comes back for a 2nd round.

That looks like a wheel break from some nigger having the wrong wheels with the wrong offset and probably chink metal.

Aside from that OP sounds like the kind of biker who has yet to crash their bike. OP may also be full of the wisdom that only inexperience and youth can bestow. Otherwise his biggest fear would be some inattentive fuck squashing him because they are finger fucking a flat screen and OP spends the rest of his life shitting in a bag where the closet thing you'll ever ride again is a Hawking style wheelchair.

Keep the shiny side up bro and stay safe.

I've been riding for 40 years. Sure there's a million things to worry about. Twice I've had shit fly off vehicles and just miss me. You have no time to react, so yeah it's a nightmare. Many times people cutting me off, many inattentive jerkoffs on phones racing up behind me. I always watch my mirror and aim myself an out to avoid being pancaked at stop lights. I'm not sure why you're on my case but whatever. You keep the rubber down too fella.

No biggest fear is coming around a bend near flagstaff on the i40 doing 80 and seeing a full size industrial building girder taking up all lanes ...

Taco'ed both rims, totaled the bike, but missed the other cars and somehow survived and kept it upright.

They probably switched rims and didn't know there are different type lugnuts and you need to use the right style for the right rim. I doubt the offset killed it on that pavement princess.
