. Essentially it's another thing government has taken over to "protect" us, to the point that we can't even do the due diligence to verify claims. And thus, government gets to decide who gets slandered and who does't.

defamation laws, incitement to riot, and conspiracy to _____, direct threat and "hate" upcharge laws have already gutted out the 1st amendment. That doesn't even get into willfully letting major companies censor.

Threats of use of force are a little different because the point is to be credible and achieve the effect of using force without using it. But it's easy to twist things into threats that aren't.

On the other hand, the second amendment acknowledges that government can become a threat to the people and thus they should always be a credible threat to corrupt government.
