It doesn't really matter if it's "still" toxic or not. It's everywhere and in everything since the 40s. All humans are infected with PFOA and PTFE. Even humans that aren't born yet will be infected.

They add that shit to food packaging on purpose. Kerrygold had to recall all of its butter from California a couple weeks ago after California banned PFOAs in food packaging.
Before that it never even occurred to me that someone was stupid/evil enough to add those chemicals to food on purpose. Just like it wouldn't occur to me to ask them if they added plutonium to their butter.
Yet limiting ingestion and attempts to minimize intake via cooking still remains a sensible approach.
Smart people stopped using teflon years ago when this was exposed. Other than not using teflon cookware, there's really no hiding from it. It's literally in everything. And lets not forget PFAS and PFOS as well.
