He did not call out the Daily Wire. He made a video about a lot of the offers he was getting, and used a blacked out version of a DW letter. The DW then called him out, saying that letter was theirs and (poorly) defending it. (Crowder responded directly to that one ... the Babylon Bee response the response is the best though)
He registered the big con domain back in December, so he knew this was a problem in the industry. Some say he went after DW specifically and the recording was a bad faith thing. I don't think so.
