Hadrian & Nero were openly gay. History hates Nero, but a lot of Romans loved him even after his death. Hadrian was loved as well, and was one of the 5 good emperors. So being gay wasn't that big of a taboo at least for emperors.

it was a taboo, in all the writings of these degenerate acts the historians (Suetonius, Livy, etc.) always ridiculed them and called them "deprave, disgusting, gross, etc.." just because the emperor was accused of it doesn't mean it was accepted socially hell it doesn't even mean it actually happened.

Yea traditionally Rome was absolutely anti all degeneracy, in the Republican days particularly. A lot of that fell apart pretty quickly after Octavian died, good times weak men kind of thing. I bet that rise in degeneracy helped spread Christianity, a bunch of people grossed out by the direction of society wanting to reject it in favor of honor and piety for a huge payoff after death. That would look pretty attractive to someone with not a lot of upward mobility that was basically forced to worship a guy like Nero.

Nero had a lot of enemies that openly mocked him after death. Hadrian nearly wiped the kikes off the face of the planet with 12 legions. Either historical account can't be trusted.

Nero gets the worst hate of all them, from what ive gathered on my probably 10 hours of looking at him specifically (videos, some reading) is the the people loved him, the patricians hated him. Lowering taxes and seizing their property after the fire in rome really pissed the patricians off. The post op trans sexual lover may have been propaganda. It seems a little to crazy.

Hadrian probably really was gay. He had a very political marriage and no children. He was openly affectionate towards a few Greek twinks, and the fact he was loved by Rome, and generally looked at positively by history makes it a lot more likely to be a fact than what happened with Nero.

I heard some idiot saying that China became opposed to homos, because of the Christian influence there. That's like saying Islam had an influence on the mainstream in America. It's totally ridiculous. Anyway, I knew a Chinese lady that told me most of the people in her country think homosexuals are "monsters." China also had marriage and adultery laws before Christianity was there at all.

There's a story from the Roman empire where a popular chariot team racer made homosexual advances on a military general. The general had him thrown him in jail.

Fans of chariot teams back then were like England soccer teams, only much, much, more so.
