People shout down government regulation as "communist". But in reality, a capitalist company will knock any building of historic value down in a second if the can get away with it. Some regulation is needed, we have lost so much history in the name of progress. And a historic building is real living history, not a page written in a book.

Yeah, i remember from some other channels that delve into this a lot more. it is deliberate post modernization - creating constructions of prison style minimalism to further disrupt social cohesion, trust and unity. Just another vector of attack on Western Nations by those at the top.

EDIT: I was in Chritchurch during the 2010-2011 earthquakes (man made - worlds largest USGS survey ship that 'drills deep underground into seabed fault lines and detonate explosive charges to record the seismic activity, thats was off the coast of the South island for three weeks during the time period - but thats another story) anywho - in the city a total of 1500-1700 buildings/ churches (not incl entire residential suburbs demolished and made into open land) were bulldozed rather than fixing and strengthening - all matter of beautiful 1900's grand English style stone masonry office blocks/ department stores/ hotels etc with carved facades/ decorative lintels etc, all replaced with fancy new crap looking glass / steel and timber 'kitset looking' ugliness. The fckwit in charge didnt even give a shit about any that had historic value or were already on the historic trust list - just nope it's all gotta go goyim , hehe. Btw the PM at the time John (don)Key is a dirty filthy lying joo whose mama is a 'it weas real in my mind' holohoax survivor from poland iirc.

Ah yes, those joo kikes. Haha squashed like a bug. I esp like how they attempted to sneak into the military patrolled off limits inner city to retrieve his 'personal items' and were arrested at gun point. in comes immediate high level diplomatic talks (all a mistake goyim) let go on the next plane back to israel no charges. Common knowledge they obtain details of other countries residents to duplicate legit passports for their nefarious acts around the world.

They didn’t need communism to have beautiful, ornate buildings back when all those early examples were built. They had those buildings because the people with wealth and power also had a sense of aesthetic and pride. They spent the extra money to hire the architects and craftsmen who would make their building a wonder to behold.

No, communist buildings are generally ugly. Just saying that if the government interfered and said they need to stay some people would be crying "communism". Because government doing something is communism according to some

It's not capitalism. Those buildings are the product of regulation, unionization, political grifting, etc.

It is capitalism. It would cost more to fully rehab an old custom built brick building than it would to just tear it down and slap a steel frame block in its place. A pretty rounded front, a cool spire, and a bunch of relief work, adds costs, and reduces square footage, driving up prices for the end users of the buildings. Unless youre dealing with really really high end projects for really wealthy individuals you wont see that kind of work done anymore, because the end buyers dont want to pay for it.

Disagree. It's capitalism, don't know why people are afraid to admit capitalism has some flaws
