I believe so and I think they have a website like 12footbridge or something last I heard but yeah it does look like it.
They're about to finally raise that bridge to 13'8 I believe.
Another raise? I guess they have to keep up with inflation.
It's crazy it's taken them this long but that's probably because of the entertainment value.
That particular bridge has a lot of problems with being raised. You can't really do much to the top because the rail grade needs to remain relatively flat for the trains, and the road itself sits on relatively shallow service lines.
I'd expect the service lines are going to be lowered, but that's just a guess. The reason it got the last "raise" was because Norfolk-Southern raised the grade along the entire line, allowing the bridge to be brought up to the new grade.
In my hometown they didn't raise a low bridge until it finally killed someone. Container was knocked off the chasis and killed a woman in the car behind him.
It's still not a truck route but it's just a ticket instead of a mess now.
