The sad part is that all the controversy is giving them a buzz in the fashion world. No one that finds this advert repulsive was ever going to buy this brand in the first place. In a world flushed with abundant consumer goods, artificial scarcity and exclusivity are used to market redundant goods. I'm certain that Balenciaga's target demographic is actually enthusiastic about this.

Shame and ridicule the influencers. Their only vulnerability is their ego.

I think I missed something with this Balenciaga story, these 2 photos with kids holding the bondage bears, is that it? Was there more to this story?

That bear in the fishnet shirt and leather bracelets that was basically the 80's grunge look, that look was on TV shows, music video's, and movies through out my childhood.

Now the kid with other bear wearing the leather bondage shit is weird but it's not far off from the shit He-Man wore.

Of all the shit to be outraged at, if it just these 2 photo's with kid's holding bears in weird bondage type shit then I don;t get needed 12 front page posts abut this company.

It's weird and shouldn't have been done I guess, but I don't see the "outrage" inducing problem with it. The kids are dressed and there isn't anything else glaring to me in the photo, maybe the one kid has wine glasses... I guess I'm missing something.
