There are sling bullets that have been discovered with funny messages inscribed into them, supposedly dating back to and belonging to Roman legionnaires. It's not really surprising- we have been doing that kind of shit all the way up until today. We still write shit on bombs and mortar shells- it's obviously for "us" and not the target, they won't ever get the chance to appreciate the joke... And that's a damned shame.
