The guy has facial tattoos, or at least they are creeping up to his face. That indicates terrible judgment, which is probably due to extended drug use. My money is on him falling unconscious in his bathtub and drowning because he was so drugged up, he couldn't climb out.
In the occult you can use the bathtub as a gateway of sorts. There have been many, many deaths on or near bathtubs among the rich and famous. You need to remember, satanism/kabbalah/occult is fashionable among the rich and famous. Many have openly spoken about rituals and deals made with the Satan. Not everyone survives these rituals. Anytime I hear of someone dieing on, in, or near a bathtub or an elevator I immediately suspect the occult.

The new movie Causeway with Jennifer Lawrence (the almighty Hollywood whore with all nude pics online) as a trauma victim uses the bathtub reference a lot (because she's scared of water) as a kind of judge to see if she's still traumatized. So it's interesting that you've pointed this out and not a far cry to suggest Hollyweird is just projecting some of that satanic bullshit onto the masses again.
I could list dozens of such cases. It's possible some of the deaths were sacrifices, but in my research it's most probable each was attempting to make a new deal with the devil, or make modifications to an existing deal.

even a slum wouldnt have a bathtub that people could look in on. thats not a design oversight either the guy was lying or he was the assassin.
Pattern recognition wants me to see something else here since the timing is too weird, but the skeptic in me just presumes that the junkie overdosed because junkies are scum of the earth and deserve to die.
