You can hate and pity at once.
For example: a young boy is viciously abused from age 4-16 by adult males. At age 18, he reenacts similar abuse he received on some young kid from his neighborhood. How do you feel about the 18-year-old offender here?
For me, it's simple: I feel bad for the boy that was murdered to create this monster. I do not feel bad for the creature standing before me- he is no longer human, he is now a broken individual, a danger to society which must be removed with great prejudice... or else we'll see the same fucking story play out again, and again, and again.
If there was a loving God, he'd have dropped a fucking meteor on Epstein's island when all of the most powerful freaks were gathered there. Or on the Bohemian Grove.
