Point Break is probably one of the best movies ever made. Really is. I thought the "remake" was a good movie. They moved away from surfing, got rid of the "damsel in distress" aspect with the girl and made it a somewhat similar narrative to the original, but changed the setting. I think it was a good enough movie that they didn't need to call it "Point Break" and use the character names from the original. Also: The first *Fast and the Furious* is basically just *Point Break* with cars instead of surfing and bank robbery.
