We really need to bring back chain gang/prison labor. Having him sit in prison for life just soaking up tax dollars isn't good enough. The Soviets really had something with the Gulag system. They'd wear a political dissident or journalist out with grinding, body-crushing labor of digging canal ditches, digging roads with hand tools, moving rocks, and mining for 5 years straight with a half day off each week. When they got too broken down and crippled and couldn't keep up their productivity rate, they'd be denied food and would just gradually starve to death over a year or two. Nobody survived more than 6 or 7 years in a Gulag.
*I'm not some Redditard Communist fanboy; I just admire how the Soviets created a virtual "slave labor economy" using a legitimate and efficient means to do so
Sounds good in the case of a death penalty where the defendant/convict is 100% guilty.
The police/courts do sometimes get it wrong and send the wrong person to prison.
