When I was in Korea I saw an F-16 belly in with no gear. He had refueled inflight and then had fuel flow issues where he essentially ran out of gas. He glided it all the way home 29 miles and bellied it in because he had full wing tanks and the plane would flip over on landing with no power if the gear was down. Turned out the dumb ass forgot to close the little door where the tanker hooks up and that is what prevented the fuel from flowing properly. He was flyin a desk after that little incident.
