Meh. With the number of carnivals going on at any given time in the US and the number of carnies working them (lots and lots of mexicants these days) we sure don’t see many mishaps.
I agree they should pay more attention to details, but I get the sense it’s mostly pretty okay.
Though I do have to say this about the massive number of mexicants running our local carnival now: It sure has changed the flavor of things. The mexicants are not friendly. The White carnies were friendly. Weird sometimes, but friendly and animated, and they gave the county fair a good fun flavor. The mexicants are all sullen and seem like assholes. It’s not fun anymore.
