We are definitely in the Age of Decadence, it's just a question of how long until the collapse.

"Without an overarching guiding ideal or moral core, there exists widespread disorientation, confusion, and moral decay. The masses live empty and meaningless lives from which they seek relief by drowning themselves in base pleasures, developing addictions, and by adopting escapism as a way of life."

"People grow increasingly incapable of distinguishing between true and false, good and bad, right and wrong, and so they often choose what is life-denying and harmful. Beauty and genius are renounced in favor of banality, ugliness, and vulgarity. Virtues are seen as vices, and vices virtues. The process of individuation and pursuit of greatness is abandoned in favor of an apathetic conformity. And as a result, mental illness becomes the norm."

I'm old enough to remember back when you could drink the water right out of tap. Anywhere. And states didn't have rolling blackouts.

A golden age, back when White men designed, built, ran and repaired everything. And we just took it for granted that our society would remain on an ever ascending curve, with each generation inheriting and building upon the foundations and pillars their fathers and grandfathers had made.

Now after half a century of jewish depravity undermining us, niggers waging war on us, and the boomers, who were handed the greatest nation the world had ever seen on a silver platter, only to suck all the wealth out of it leaving a vast financial desert in their wake, in order to finance the "disco party that never ended", we are left with what you see around you every day.

That which cannot continue, won't. Fuck it. Historically speaking, 235 years is not a bad run for a republic. Give the chinese their turn at bat. The sooner, the better. They're already showing all the signs of fucking it all up anyway. They may not make the same mistakes we made, but they will invent whole new ones just to end up the same place. In 50 years (maybe less) they'll be right where we are now, maybe worse.

I see you've thought this through. We live in a dystopian nightmare, only it's not as bad as it will get yet. The food is poisoned but will disappear completely and be replaced by bugs. Our money is fake but will turn into an electronic slave system. Our police have been turned into a military affront and will be replaced by robots with weapons who aren't going to hold off shooting us.

The food will be what you and your family can hunt and kill, or grow for yourself.

Barter will make a comeback, and the paper cash being printed out now will be used as fire-starters and ass-wipe.

Police? What police?

Robots? Seriously? Our society is already spiraling down to the point where we can't even keep the lights on, or drink the water. The high-tech infrastructure required to maintain a large enough force of robots to reliably subjugate a human population simply won't exist. Any such force would require regular maintenance, parts, lubricants, etc. Not to mention a reliable power source. Remember the part about not being able to even keep the lights on?

Actually, your scenario is more plausible.
