If society ever gets to the point that I can't buy food then they sure as fuck aren't throwing food out and people's charity will dry up. Sure he would fare better if we were both thrust forward 30 years to a post apocalyptic nightmare but he's basically there already and I'm living in a house with supplies. If supply chains got worse and food shortages became a real issue, supermarkets wouldn't be throwing out as much food, and if they did you better believe regular people will be taking what they can get in the dumpster.

He's only surviving there because things are so good now that people can survive on what is thrown away. If things aren't thrown away he dies.

He probably is a nice guy, but he's a good reminder that we still have to deal with illegal immigrants decades after they've gotten into the country. Most men end up in jail or homeless like Carlos. Women have more children that grow up in poverty.

This guy has been a net negative on society. And although things are shit for him here, it's probably worse in Cuba. But is we're paying to take care of him and tens of millions of others anyhow, why not do that in their home country? Wouldn't he have been better off if the US declares Cuba a territory, took control after a brief fight, and turned it into a functioning and productive country?

We have to end the regimes in Central America that do nothing other than perpetuate poverty and export people.

I'm talking about making Cuba a straight up US territory. Afghanistan is too far away to do that anyhow, but things would have still gone better if that was the end goal.

Well US is Israel territory and Afghanistan is next door to Israel so barely any difference. And yes Afghanistan would have gone differently if the intent was actually to win but that wasn't the goal. Untill America sorts out is political subversion it can't justify another war. Everywhere America goes it turns to shit, the only war they really succeeded in was against Germany and that turned to shit too. Intervention only succeeds if the goal is conquest and subjugation, if you want more Cubans in America then sure otherwise just pull out and watch things self correct. There are probably a lot of issues there BECAUSE of us meddling, democrats like having impoverished nations to traffic drugs and children from after all.
