There is evidence to suggest whites came out in their current form in the CAUCUS mountains...thus called Caucasians. Modern chinks popped up in Mongolia. Neanderthals were the first Europeans and died off and Cro-magdon bred with Whites and live in what is now Catalonia. Homo Erectus and Caucasians made it across the Bering Strait. (Speculating here) Whites stayed the same but Homo Erectus split into two or three versions of "Native American". Homo Erectus were tall mother fuckers and explains why you see "giants" in South America and Brazil. Ever heard of "Brazilian Women"? Over 6 feet tall and built like brick shit house? As for the whites in North America, I think something happened and bulk got killed off and the Homo Erectus offshoot creating native Americans took root. Whatever the natives did to the whites was paid off when White Europeans showed up with the Flu and Smallpox. EDIT: Another thing I have always wondered about is why the mid western and northern "native americans" were generally a tad more civilized while southern and Caribbean chugs went full on cannibal.
