I don't even understand how this could happen. No way they didn't know they weren't making it under before the front of the ship was under the bridge.
Those things don't exact stop on a dime.

Also, this "accident" is one of the first lessons they teach in boat safety course... For boats under 25'... These retards DEFINITELY had to take many hours of training and they tell you multiple times... The bridge might not be clear able during different tides... And what do you do??? Drop anchors... Reverse engine...
The boat will produce a wake behind it whenever it is moving forward.
It is not indicative of what the props are doing under the water. They could be in full reverse, but it just takes a long time to slow, and finally stop.
Yeah but they should have been reversing about 500 -1000 m out. If your standing on the bridge of the ship and the bridge deck is eye level you aren't going to make it.
I am not implying they are not incompetent. There is no excuse for that happening other than everyone on the bridge have simultaneous heart attacks.
