At 60mph and 30 hours, that's 1800 miles. In other words, they could have driven half the trip in the charge duration. At 80mph, that's 2400 miles. The total one way trip distance is 3500 miles.

Even if that's a lot of deferred charging while they sleep, it's not exactly a boon to the claim EVs have arrived.

They seem to have done it just to do it and see what happens, and spent a lot of time driving 35 to extend the range.

Their "chaser" vehicle was a hybrid F-150 which sounds like a more attractive option.
