I’ve been doing 24 hour fasts once per week for the last year or so. I’ve lost 30 pounds and feel so much better. Had lots of mental issues that suddenly went into remission after I started fasting.
Worth a try. There is a wall that you have to get past when it comes to fasting. When you get to the 6-10 hour mark after last eating, you may feel your blood sugar dropping. Especially if you’re not used to fasting, and you normally eat a lot of carbs and sugar. This is when normal people say they’re “starving.” Instead of giving in, just push through. The hunger will subside. Your blood sugar will get better the more you fast, causing this effect to lessen over time. But getting over the wall initially is quite difficult when you’re used to being well fed.
Do you drink anything xcept water? Coffee?
I drink anything that has zero calories. I do stay away from fake sugar as it tends to cause diarrhea while fasting.
Monk fruit and stevia seem to be alright for me though.
