Maybe, I think he's been in shootouts before, either earlier in his career as a cop, or (more likely IMO) in the military. He's not even frantic in his voice or body language. This is an individual who has seen this before, encountered mortal danger on multiple occasions and overcame it. Psychopaths panic. Hardened soldiers rarely panic or even become rattled (publicly). I think he's been in car chases, too.
