It's hard to tell, but to me, I see that at least one of the rounds went through a spot of the windshield where, if the bullet traveled through the glass and remained in a nearly perfect horizontal angle, the officer might've caught it on the shoulder or chest.

Glass does weird shit to bullets. Even rounds that are designed specifically to be shot through glass can be a little unreliable; shooting through solid stuff is hard enough, so consider that glass is a liquid. I saw a 9mm round shot through glass go directly left, making a nearly 90 degree turn. Perhaps something similar happened here? I'm certain that police cruisers have bullet resistant glass, too- this is probably what kept him unshot.

I thought I saw some of the shots come from the passenger's side, but the rest seemed to come out the back windshield? It's hard to tell, I'm definitely curious as well- how many people in the car, what was he shooting, did that PIT maneuver put him out and make him surrender? I assume after he wrecked, the officer kept going because there was a swarm of other officers right behind him, who quickly surrounded and dealt with the wreck and suspect while the Chad-officer parked up to examine how close he came to dying, make sure he wasn't actually hit and didn't notice it, etc..

Yeah, i think so too now (other cops following taking care of the occupant/ offender ). Plus i guess high speed vehicle chase/ angle / trajectory of shots hitting the window having an effect on final direction of penetration.

They don’t have bullet resistant glass in cruisers. It is pretty impressive that the round missed him that was my thought too, it’s shoulder or chest level he got lucky
