On the new Toyotas, half the car is not functional when the sensors are down. So if you use cruise control and there's mud on the front sensor or it freezes (very very common in Wyoming), than the cruise control is COMPLETELY disabled. Same with blind side monitoring, it gets confused all the time by birds, debris, and the LIDAR system being retarded. You end up having to turn off half the sensors because they are absolutely useless
