Well maybe because man wrote it..not God? And, if it was good why was it irrected in a field in GA? Yea, a man doesnt have the right to make the rules or guidelines for the rest of the world. And as Christians, God says to look to him. Its the population number that gives it away. God says be fruitful and multiply, man says but the number of mouth breathers are going to take away from me..not believing that God provides all things.
The only thing on those guidestones that I think a poor idea is the concept of a world court, and only that because collectively we are not intelligent enough to trust in its impartial application. Were we able, such a concept would almost instantly prove itself a superior option to our constant lust for war.
Humans are breeding exponentially, without regard, like a virus. We have been fruitful and we have multiplied, and we have ensured that the least capable, least intelligent, least contributory individuals on Earth breed the most profoundly... Surely there is a time when being wise and temperate becomes a virtue even in that regard?
I dont know what I think of the cannonical concept of the Christian mythos because I've never been able to see past my disdain for the Christian or their constantly changing social ideologies, or their man-made, political churches... Seemingly everything that makes them uncomfortable or angry is evil or the devil thus must be destroyed, no matter how many thousands of times throughout history they have been demonstrated to be wrong.
I'd so much rather live in a world governed by the words on those stones than the uncritical, reactive, violent world of the Christian or its behaviorally identical counterpart in the leftist secular cult currently so popular in our dying world.
