Also, should you be in this scenario, you want to hit the little trailer brake lever and let the trailer pull back on the truck. It'll straighten right out. For clarity, you use the trailer as an anchor essentially slowing down the truck. Its important that your brake controller is set up properly. I adjust gain until there is slight drag while rolling, then go back one. Now, use the controller's lever to attempt to stop. Too much gain is bad, not enough is also bad. Goal is to stop without locking up trailer tires. This is best tested fully loaded in an empty, flat, level parking lot.
