To add to this, Canada liberal gov't just passed a bill that forces canadian video streamers to focus more on canadian content. In theory this should hurt Netflix because it's supposed to force them to filter out more non-canadian content to maintain the new ratio, taking them back to the original days of a shitty selection in canada, which could cause more canadians to close accounts and switch to free-market alternatives... OTOH, many of us realize this is just a legal framework to further squash free speech, and netflix's degenerate content aligns with the liberal's vision, so it will be permitted as is.
