While I dumped Netflix years ago due to their SJW crap and gay porn, I believe most of the subscriber cancellations are due to budget constraints. None the less, Netflix deserves to die for any reason because they're just another corporate feudal lord beating their serfs to death.

Years ago, they had most of the streaming content. Now there is hulu, disney+, paramount plus, amazon, crunchyroll and hi dive.

So not only do they have competition, but that competition pulled the good content off the platform, leaving woke shit. The thing is, the market is flooded with woke shit, so why pay for woke shit when it is free most other places?

Then there are the video games. why watch tv when you can play tarkov?

To add to this, Canada liberal gov't just passed a bill that forces canadian video streamers to focus more on canadian content. In theory this should hurt Netflix because it's supposed to force them to filter out more non-canadian content to maintain the new ratio, taking them back to the original days of a shitty selection in canada, which could cause more canadians to close accounts and switch to free-market alternatives...

OTOH, many of us realize this is just a legal framework to further squash free speech, and netflix's degenerate content aligns with the liberal's vision, so it will be permitted as is.

Both Amazon VOD & Disney+ exist now. So Netflix isn't needed anymore. Disney also owns the majority of Hulu, so they can use that service to push the hardcore bullshit to protect Amazon & Disney.
