The underlying shaming evident in this film is what made it so good and effective. These assholes knew they were cornered despite all their rhetoric and denial. Their bodies of pig iron will, does crumble under their feet of clay and they know it. For now shaming is our most effective tool and it should be amplified to the ninth degree. This false decree of acceptance is their strength. That first and foremost cannot be allowed to stand. Did you see how they shrank away each and every time? That was powerful. Good and true men losing their lives, families, careers and fortunes does not have to happen through violence, yet.

He was more than fair to the nutcases and letting them talk and asking the most simple questions utterly destroyed them. They simply cant stand up to criticism. That university professor who couldnt answer and always turns the question against matt was absolutely insufferable. They can spout nonsense and they have ways around dealing with arguments, its very malign.
Something of note is that their tactics work, they spout bullshit, if someone doesnt fold they try forcing them to state something 'offensive' and if they take the bait they claim abuse and flee, otherwise they shut up. If they cant get that they end the conversation, if the person doesnt have the spine or knowledge to counter this they end up getting groomed.

No. I noticed it was something much larger as I was watching this documentary. These people are fighting reality itself. When everyone you talk to simply affirms back what you are saying you've successfully killed all external interaction and imprisoned everyone into a pseudo solipsistic hell.
