I never said Shaolin Monks or Bruce Lee were bad fighters.
I'll say it, then- Shaolin monks are not good fighters, and Bruce Lee himself was not a fighter, since he wasn't an active competitor in any sport for a significant length of time. Bruce Lee is a fucking ACTOR, a stuntman with some charisma- and people eat his eastern mystical bullshit right up. And now we have the mists of time to enshroud his legend and make him into some kind of superhuman...
People, he died from a medical condition at age 32; he didn't have any better understanding of his body or martial arts than anybody alive today. Imagine if he had spent a career actually fighting. He wouldn't have made it out of his 20s.
Ha! You said it, not me. To insult Bruce Lee to Asians is like insulting Muhammad to Muslims. I'm willing to concede that maybe he's a good fighter, and maybe he could beat up anyone his same size. It's a hypothetical and physically possible, and we will never know because he's dead. However, to say he could beat Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, or any big guy with training is delusional. It's laughable. It's the same as when Rhonda Rousey was Big in the MMA and people were saying she could compete with the men. What a joke.
