Note that during the second one, after the explosion you could see the Queen in her shower cap holding a scrub brush and looking embarrassed. Obviously they caught her in the shower there.

Interesting... Anyone know at what range bees and wasps can't figure out who is attacking? Hitting the nest with a 2ft stick will obviously get you stung, but using an 8ft+ like here doesn't seem to make them sting everyone in sight?

I just hit it down then run away for a minute while they swarm, then come back and finish it.

That doesn't seem like it'd be enough of a pressure wave to kill all the wasps, especially ones near the opposite side of bigger nests. Could easily end up with spread out groups of very unhappy wasps, and even if you put them mostly out of commission you could still end up scattered wasp pieces that are perfectly capable of stinging anything that steps on them.

I'm surprised the blast did not kill or at least stun them all. Lil fuckers where still swarming after the explosions.
