Look I'm always skeptical and I'm not trying to shit on your post but I had these 2 thoughts:
The voicechanger... Really?? We think we're keeping this man's identity a secret from the FBI using a voice changer??
2.) When "fbi" agent is asked if this is a setup, he replies that no lawyer would sign off on it.
Highly dubious that those who run amok as the law would require consultation from their legal team before acting on anything. It just sounds like bullshit. Cops and detectives break laws and trample on rights whenever they need to - and sometimes courts back them up.
Not saying he's a liar, he could have just been put on the spot and didn't know what to say - maybe just nervous... Trying to relate something about internal protocols...
