I own a tree company, we climb and swing like Tarzan, this is hilarious.

You could use the crane to hoist you up, then strap the top of the tree to the hoist and cut. So simple and elegant.

We don't need a crane. We shoot a bean bag up to the top limbs, and hoist our lines up. We never miss the mark when dropping trees either.

I'm pretty sure they cut the tree down and when it fell it lifted the truck up and just sat there until it finally broke. It's really hard to lift a crane up like that in my experience.
