My thoughts recently came to Looney Toons were basically programming kids to hate their European hunter's heritage.
The likes of Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd can be perceived as the classic republicans who enjoy guns, hunting, and the outdoors. Marvin the Martian was the pride in European heritage - particularly the Roman Empire.
Bugs or Daffy are the archetype liberal who "just wants to free love" and the consequences of their actions never catch up to them whereas with the Republican/European counterparts they always get their comeuppance or are driven off in a crazed stupor of defeat. But in all scenarios, bugs (and his jewish accent) is always 'right'.
