Just checked, this is still up: telnet://lynx.scramworks.net on port 23
Lynx is a text mode web browser. I use it to load up web page text content on my old ass machines. It supports HTTPS/SSL, and is pretty much the only way to view that type of live encrypted content on old hardware (that I know of).
Last time I was there, you could load up talk.lol but not poal.co. Today, it's being really stupid... seems like either my telnet console is on the fritz or the server needs a good reset. (It's fucked up on my Tandy 1000 TL as well, both ansi/vt100 modes have exactly the same fuckery on modern or old terminal)
lol The good ol' days
