Recoil lifted his arms. He panics in that moment, feeling like he's going to lose grip on the weapon- the recoil naturally released his finger from the trigger. In that split second where his brain was like "HOLD ONTO THE DANGEROUS THING!!!", he squeezed his hand as hard as he could.... pulling the trigger for a second time, while the barrel was inches from pointed at his fucking teeth.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has a wrist injury based on how fucking noodly his arm was in this incident. Torn ligament or something along those lines.
